Moccamaster Optio is Moccamaster's top model that has all the practical functions available in the Moccamaster universe. Unique to the Moccamaster Optio is a half-pot brewing function. The function automatically adapts the brewing process to the amount of water and the temperature of the heating plate. The result is that the finished coffee gets a richer aroma and fuller character.
Add water and your favorite coffee, choose a full or half pot and the brewer does the rest. Automatic drip stop prevents the coffee from dripping from the filter holder when you remove the glass jug from the brewer, and an indicator light that shows when the brewer needs to be descaled.
The coffee maker automatically switches off after 40 minutes, for safety and environmental reasons.
The coffee maker has two separate heating elements. One heats the water to 92-96 degrees – the perfect brewing temperature. The second keeps the coffee warm at an optimal serving temperature of 80-85 degrees. The model is certified by the European Coffee Brewing Center (ECBC).
